Lightfold 06 - Beacon 5

A rendition of Lycaste in her favorite environment.

I started working on this in late January, and have been working on and off on it ever since. As I progressed through the drawing I tried new techniques I'd never used before and let them sink in; I intend to make full use of them in future drawings. During this time, many details regarding Lightfold's setting and feel have also become clear, in part due to finding new sources of inspiration, hence the city now has a clear theme going on for it instead of being represented by generic skyscrapers as in previous versions.

All in all, I'm very happy to have finished this. I spent the last month or two just adding minor details until it started feeling like it would never end, but I have reached the point where I'm ready to conclude it and move on to the next drawing in the series.
